Tuesday

After the storm came a day of violent showers of hail or rain or even snow
Jim took the dogs up the hill, whilst I drove up the A30 in truly awful conditions - Hetty the Yeti warned me that the temperature had dropped to 4c whilst I was driving through the hail
As you can see Jim was having to keep moving fairly fast as the huge shower clouds were coming in from the NW
Amazing colours as the cloud covered the brighter sky

Jim said he couldn't see anything on the camera screen as he moved it to the right as it was so dark
 Almost home !
My drive back from Truro was just as bad with hail and even snow between Camborne and Hayle
The shower clouds were still covering the bay every now and then

Sadly although we went out with the dogs, we hadn't got very far when it started to hail, so we went home
Here's hoping we get fewer showers tomorrow
Well that's it the pool is done !
All we need now is the pipework re-connected and in 2 weeks we can fill it up with water
How it was when we first emptied it - 10th November - several feet deeper at the far end and a ladder to climb down.

  1. It does look very forbidding out there, but hopefully this storm has gone and you all get a break from wind and rain. The pool looks very smart indeed. The Santa Ana here has brought us temps of 87 deg F and very dry conditions. However, we hear there is another big El Nino storm coming in later this month, so a last chance to keep filling the reservoirs.

    1. We just seem to be stuck in the showery weather at the moments - everything coming across the Atlantic seems to be wet or wet and windy ! Quite cold at the moment as well - just checked the outside temperature and it's 6c so something warmer would be nice, but 87 would be too much. Do hope you get some decent rain I know you're all desperate for it !
