Friday

Amazing waves in the sunshine first thing this morning
Just difficult to believe that someone would sit on this new seat and admire the view
and throw their coffee cups down on the ground !
Going to have to be careful to check for puddles on the seat !
Wonderful waves caused by a big swell rolling in from the south and a stiff northerly breeze blowing against it.

 Took far too many photos

Went to The Cabin Cafe and bought a Cappuccino and perched on the ramp admiring the sea
 Then the first surfer arrived

Just a little sun every now and then
Then more surfers arrived as the word spread

Poor little Hottentot Fig flower has had a lot of rain
Our visitors left Oamaru Barn today, due to prior commitments, so we went up there and Jim mowed the lawn and I strimmed the area around the farmyard to preserve the view !
Taken from the balcony when we got home - lots of surfers by then
