Really angry sea
Looking over the village towards Lighthouse Pier in Penzance which was really getting swamped
No resting place for the birds on The Greeb today
During the afternoon it suddenly brightened up, so I took the dogs along Boat Cove Lane.
As you can see, Mount's Bay was still full of waves and white water
Just love to see it like this, but it was really difficult to walk against the wind
These shots were all taken as I walked towards Maen-dhu Point
Although it was still sunny, I could see that the colour to the South had changed
Seats still in position out on The Point
Big waves rolling in towards the cliffs
As I walked towards home I noticed a huge set of waves
What happened next ? Well this is what happened next, torrential rain, thunder and lightening. Our power briefly went off and then back on again - sadly it seems to have caused damage to one of the consumer units. I'm having to do the photos on the laptop and we have long extension cables to the TV and Sky box.
Our poor visitors up at Trebarvah have not had power since around 6.30pm and it's not due to go back on until around midnight - Jim went up there with the little gas stove to at least give them hot drinks etc. they said if it doesn't come back by morning they'll go down to The Cabin for breakfast.
