Monday -16th May

A fine start to the day, but cloud was looming as Jim walked the dogs up the hill

Jim needed some new clothes for our Scilly holiday, so off to M&S we went - fortunately they had just the right trousers and shoes etc so he went to Costa Coffee whilst I got down to some serious shopping - I was quite shocked to find that I'd spent a lot less than him !
When we got home the massive area of dark clouds had spread further over the bay
But if you were further East you were probably OK
Really welcome sight of the fields below us being brought back into use with the cultivator doing a good job of hopefully destroying the massive number of weeds that were growing there
By dog walking time the cloud was even  further across
Dog patrol at The Victoria - Monty and friend
The sun was still trying to appear as we walked the dogs
Wooster amongst the flowers
Maen-dhu Point
The dark clouds were to the North and looking very threatening
Lots of Bladder Campion out on Maen-dhu Point

Still cultivating - going to have Cauliflowers planted soon
He was keeping the birds happy - and if it keeps the gulls off our roof then I'm happy
Off he went as we walked up the road
Bookend cats on the windowsill
As we reached home we heard the tractor again and there he was doing one of the upper fields - just no stopping him

  1. Great to see all of your photos. So many reminders of 2013. Enjoyed seeing photos of Godolphin House and surrounds. Some the family's ancestors worked on the estate and named their farmhouse here in country Victoria "Godolphin".
Haven't been well lately, so not been online a lot.
    Enjoy your Scilly Isles holiday.
