Thursday - Bryher

Off we go to Bryher with Tim on Calypso II
Busy in the Tresco Channel
Looked like Osprey had taken some folks to Samson - or Rushey Bay -  up on the flying bridge today
Bryher
Dogs enjoyed the walk along the beach

Lovely lunch at Hell Bay Hotel
Bit splashy out the back of Bryher
Desirable residences - but only if you're poultry sized !
Looking over to Tresco -
Cromwells Castle at the bottom with King Charles Castle at the top
 Stunning view of Tresco Channel
Lots of people enjoying the views from up there
For those who think we are exaggerating the walk up the hill - this is the first part - right up and through the archway in the Garrison Walls
Then onwards and upwards to the Star Castle

  2. Thank you so much for the Bryher photo's Sue, so envious. So pleased you had a lovely day to visit the island, and yes the walk up to Star Castle is knackering escpecially after all the other walking through the day to the off islands, but well worth it and no doubt a good nights sleep followed. Enjoy the rest of your holls.

    1. Bryher was looking its best - been to St Agnes for a few hours today - rather cold at first - sunshine later in the day. Not sure about tomorrow forecasts are mixed. Sue

  3. I keep saying that we must go to the islands, but never make it in our all too short trips. It certainly looks beautiful in the sunny weather.

    1. Does look wonderful - these colours are true - not enough time to edit properly. Well worth a visit - if only a short one. Sue
