Wet and misty this morning - sometimes rain and somtimes mizzle. I went out for more bird food as the little buggers are finishing a feeder a day - and Jim took the dogs up the hill
Sadly nothing to see except the Dock plants
Back down the hill to home
Still rather wet a bit later
But that didn't put these hardy folk off
Looking all very lush and tropical underneath the Pine trees
Looking a little brighter
This juvenile Common Buzzard has been around all day - calling out to Mum & Dad and getting too close to the young gulls and getting sent off by the parents
Lovely big bird
Sad to have an empty patch of sea down below us
45 minutes later and it had brightened up and the visitors had arrived
I took the dogs out and we met Cassie the Labradoodle pup - Wooster and Tilly hadn't met her off the lead before. Her friend Bonnie just stood and watched
She's very quick and active !
But they did have a nice play
Well ! dogs will be dogs !
Rather warmer than I was expecting
Like a scene from the Alfred Hitchcock film The Birds
and they definitely are Rooks
A little blue sky appearing
Think this is a Curlew down on Boat Cove
Still quite a few on the beach
7.06pm and the Coastguard Rescue helicopter came over the bay fast and low and right over the house - normally the route from Scilly - it looked like it carried on to Derriford in Plymouth - do hope the patient arrived safely and is OK
I was editing the photos when I saw the light had changed - sun just about to appear below this huge dark cloud
