Wednesday

 Another beautiful morning
Sister Pat had given us this Poppy and today the bud had opened
A quick walk up the hill for the dogs as we were going out
Stanley and his owners heading up the hill
Falmouth and a visit to Trago for a new rug for Oamaru Barn and a coffee in the top floor cafe
 Lovely !
 Dona Amellia
Looking over to Trefusis near Flushing - it looked tempting and it's a long time since we walked there
So we drove through Penryn and then around to Flushing - not a nice village to drive through - really narrow
There he was still cutting - on a very steep incline
Looking over The Carrick Roads to St Mawes Castle - must be the prettiest little castle in the country
 St Anthony Light
 HMS Severn
Quite windy in the entrance to the bay
 Coastguard Helicopter came dashing past
One of two heavy lifting vessels in Falmouth Bay  - this is Triumph. It can lower itself into the water to pick up extremely heavy ships/rigs etc.
 So many lovely boats around
We walked right along to Mylor Yacht Harbour
Had a cup of tea and cake - we were still in  sunshine, but this cloud was still around
Trelissick House with scaffolding around the Orangery
Just can't remember the name of this one - have seen it many times before
Passing in front of Pendennis Castle
 Helford River ferry heading in

We'd had a wonderful sky all day
 Lovely Buzzard swooped over us

and that was it - we were almost back at the car !
We set off for home and found ourselves in an almighty traffic jam - fortunately I remembered a route around the problem and we were heading in the right direction - hundreds of cars were queueing and trying to find a route that didn't need them to go up the steep hill leading to Hillhead Roundabout - we arrived from the other direction and this was the problem (photo from Falmouth Packet)
A large tractor had overturned - as well as his trailer and fuel was all over the road.  Do hope the driver was OK and that everyone got home in the end !
