Saturday

First thing this morning, the beautiful Irene setting off for Scilly and the Regatta weekend
Jim took the dogs down Boat Cove Lane

Tides not being kind to beach-lovers at the moment

H87 HMS Echo came into Mount's Bay she is the first of two  multi-role hydrographic survey ships commissioned by the Royal Navy.
I drove through Marazion to avoid the long queue of homeward bound visitors and decided to play the tourist
Huge amount of smelly seaweed down below the wall

Sorry - have always loved the Dolphins
Really was looking lovely and Marazion was heaving with mainly foreign tourists, sadly The Castle is not open on Saturday and there were no boats either
Penzance harbour looking lovely

No visitors out on the lawns today
Whoever invented selfies has a lot to answer for ! !

Jubilee Pool looking wonderful
Had a lovely chat with Glen who was waiting for his brother Adrian  who owns Mermaid II the fishing and tripper boat. Glen was lucky enough to be going on the next trip out
Shearwater II on her way back to Penzance
St Mary's Church looking rather splendid this morning
Penzance may only have a little shopping centre - but just look at the magnificent view it has !
Terramare just backing out of Penzance Harbour with an Island Carriers lorry on board
I took the dogs along the Maize fields above Trenow this afternoon
Looks like a plague of Locusts have descended on this end of the field
Scillonian III in the shadows as she arrives back in Penzance
Lots of cloud looming in the West

Turning in to go alongside Lighthouse Pier

Lovely little Green Veined White butterfly
Nice view looking over to the barns at Trebarvah
Not much of a sunset here tonight
Nice sky to the East
Looking slightly odd to the South
Just a little brightness at the end of the day

  1. Jubilee pool looks lovely...we first went swimming there 50+ years ago when we were on honeymoon !! The Penzance view is a wonderful one...rather fond of Penzance and all it's 'nooks and crannies ' ! Thanks Sue . Macca.(love the dolphins too!)

    1. Thank goodness the renovations of Jubilee Pool seem to have been done well - looking wonderful and exceeding all expectations of numbers of swimmers - and great to see lessons there are well. I enjoyed my walk around Penzance (no changeover at Oamaru) It's Birthday week in the Mason household hence all the shopping trips. Sue
