Thursday

Ocean Youth Trust (South) boat John Laing - motoring over the bay
Spotted the Round Cornwall Challenge gig that had set off from Newlyn this morning making for Cadgwith - They are rowing to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer
 Scillonian III leaving this morning
Beautiful fresh Tortoiseshell Butterfly
Since it was both sunny and breezy we thought it would be a good day to walk out to Cudden Point - as the breeze would help to keep Tilly cool
Bravely over the cattle field

One of the potato plants from last year growing on the edge of a field
 Play fighting Common Buzzards
Walked past these happy ladies who were pulling Onions on a field at Trevean
On our side of the field were Leeks

Walking on the path that goes around the back of Acton Castle - lovely field of Clover !
 Quite lovely
Sadly we then had to tackle this nasty stile - Wooster managed to scramble over the right hand side, but we had to "post" Tilly through the middle gap - rather undignified for an old lady !
We then walked down the lane and past the camp site at Prussia Cove and along the footpath towards Cudden Point
We spotted an unusual sight in the field on our right - Sheep - not many around here at all !
We walked through a gate and saw Wooster looking in this direction and then realised to our horror the gate was open we quickly called him back - thank goodness  he did as he was told - and fortunately he's a Pointer who mainly "looks" at animals
We then spotted these on the hill above us and more coming through another gate ! We then reached the gate that took us onto National Trust Land - again no sign on the gate to state that there are sheep in the fields ! So walking in either direction you had no warning of Sheep!
Garden on The Mount looking busy again
Still the long line of dark cloud above the Penwith Moors
Beach was looking busy
Nice Heather up there
Looking along the spine of Cudden Point
Jim always has to go the the edge - trouble is he takes Tilly with him
Nice view along the coast to Perranuthnoe
Another new piece of footpath due to erosion
 Time to stop for refreshments
First time that Tilly hasn't just followed Wooster and jumped up here
She was trying to climb up - so Jim gave her a helping hand
 Wooster looking at the beach
Getting closer to the beach and we could see how busy it was
 Cormorant came past
Almost back
Rather a poor knocked about Red Admiral on a Foxglove
Not easy for a butterfly to get right in there

Only the second Peacock butterfly I've seen this year
We had tea and cake at The Cabin Beach Cafe and went to take some photos of the beach
As busy as we've seen it this year
Just a little concerned - wind had been around WNW for the last 12 hours - fortunately I think the beach was sheltered anyway
Last 12 hours wind direction
Jim took the dogs out for a quick walkies before dinner
Not a proper sunset, but it was all I saw
