Friday

Horrid start to the day - fog/mist and drizzle with some rain mixed in - I took the dogs for a quick walk up the hill. Lunchtime and suddenly it started to clear
Wonder whether we should be worried about Border Force vessel Searcher in and around Mount's Bay again
 Then blue sky appeared
It was getting really warm now that the sun was out, so we decided to go back to the Penrose Estate as they had said that the Dalmatian Pelican had returned to Loe Pool and was on a small sandbank quite close to where the old bird hide used to be
We've seen this tree before at this time of year - it has a sweet liquid that oozes out of the trunk and all insects seem to love it
Last year we saw perhaps 50 butterflies on there - this year there was one and these Wasps
 Such a lovely green view
Loe Pool looking lovely today
