The Around The Mount Swim in aid of the Penlee Lifeboat Station Appeal

Nice sky as I arrived in Marazion
Lovely clear view of this side of The Mount
Getting ready
I was hoping the dark band wouldn't come over us
Somtimes you just have to have a paddle
RNLI Lifeguards ready for action
Good to see the both the ILB's Paul Alexander and the Mollie & Ivor Dent

Volunteer crew member, Heath Robinson together with 14 year old Lucy Rendle, the youngest competitor in this year's 'Around the Mount Swim'. Lucy is the daughter of Penlee Mechanic, Tony Rendle,
 Scillonian III leaving the bay
Gathering for the Safety Briefing
Nice assortment of boats !
Off they went

Into the distance they went until they were just specks with flying arms
The first one through the finish

and the second was this young lady
Third
All were clapped and cheered as they finished
Retrieving  the marker buoys

The last few heading down the home straight - probably the last time we'll see the Paul Alexander as it's off back to Poole to join the reserve fleet
Off went the Penlee Lifeboat Ivan Ellen

 and the inshore

Well done to all !
Lovely sky as I returned to the car
and made my way to Sainsbury's for a lovely capuccino and doughnut !
