Wednesday

Amazing colours in the water over the bay first thing this morning
But the low cloud was moving our way and I had seen that it was foggy on Scilly

I set off hoping to get some photos before the mist arrived, sadly as I got to the top of Boat Cove Lane I could see it was already here

And still they come ! !  We still have a steady stream opf bird watchers trying to spot the Hudsonian Whimbrel - even though it's been around since the end of December
Grey Heron with amazingly blue wings
 Another very low tide

Fortunately most of the seaweed seems to have washed around to Boat or Trenow Cove - not too much on the beach
Not long until the beach will be crowded with happy dogs and their owners - 1st October being freedom day !
For information the opening times for The Cabin Cafe
Went out to Hetty the Yeti and couldn't believe the number of Spiders webs - even on the tyres - I was out in it yesterday !
The newspapers have been saying that we're going to be invaded by Spiders - I think they're here

Jim felt guilty as he's ben busy sprucing up the poor old Freelander as hopefully it's off to pastures new, so he thought he's share a photo of his Venison dinner that he cooked tonight - marks lost for presentation and not cleaning his plate !

  3. That meal looks so yummy, I'll give it 10/10, nice warm sunny day (at times) up here. Thanks for putting on the times of the Cabin, hoping to be down again next week sometime. Last Thursday we had lunch down on the Lizard and afternoon tea at the Cabin, it was a beautiful day with beautiful food.

  4. That looks like a great meal!
I didn't get to the cabin when I was there. From your pictures and reports, sounds like a lovely spot to enjoy morning or afternoon tea.
It's pouring and cold here at the moment - back to winter. Typical Spring weather, as sunny yesterday. Grand final of the football (AFL) on Saturday, so hope it stays fine. My team is playing. Will watch on TV.

    1. Jim does love his food - often tries to copy meals he's seen on TV.
Hope the weather is kind on the football final day and obviously hope your team wins ! Sue
