Lots of threatening clouds as I set off with the dogs - they were not showing as rain clouds
A little bit of Tamarisk flowering in this sheltered spot
RNLI Penlee Lifeboat Ivan Ellen crossing the bay on a Sunday run
Sun was finding gaps here and there
Waves being pushed in sideways by the Easterly wind
Like this view from near the Church - top end of St Piran's Way and Trebarvah above
A slightly early afternoon walkies as the rain was approaching from the South
Think you can see how strong the wind has been by the splashes up on Lighthouse Pier
Scillonian III is safely over on the Albert Pier
Beach looking deceptively good - but I bet it was chilly down there
Back down the hill we went and just a little later the rain arrived - more expected tomorrow
Sea certainly looks a bit angry ! Wonder what it was like on the Scillonian !A little while ago a bird hit the window oh dear ! it was a Goldcrest. Still alive so held it until it's heart calmed down, then put it on the bird table.Just been out it perked up and flew into a bush....with a tweet (thank you I think ! ) Result ! the ironing looks more attractive !Thanks Sue...super photo's all week. maccca
ReplyDeleteWe tend to get silly great Wood Pidgeons hitting the windows - they are always OK - but we had a bad year for them hitting the glass balcony screens - 3 dead birds - strange as we've not had it before. Very dramatic day weatherwise hopefully it will get better for the rest of the week. Sue
