Another grey and misty mizzly day, so I thought I'd start with this super Amaryllis that was part of my Christmas present from sister Pat - looks stunning and is only around 9" tall so hopefully won't fall over as they so often do
Well you'll have to imagine The Mount
Dogs didn't seem to mind the conditions
Low tide
"Enough of the standing around"
There's a beach there somewhere
The Victoria's kitchen & bar renovation is in full swing
Mount almost visible
A little clearer now
The view from Maen-dhu Point
With a lovely posy of Camellias left there in memory of someone who also loved this spot
High tide
Sea is going to get much rougher as we're expecting quite a lot of wind
Beautiful Amaryllis, hope it stays short, had one a couple of years ago that was the new short variety but it still grew to over 18ins high and needed staking. Not enjoying this weather at the moment, much prefer the cold bright sunny days. Any idea how long the Victoria is going to be undergoing the refurbishment???? Hope to pop down in a couple of weeks for lunch. Your photo's are still lovely even through the mist and murk. Thank you so much
ReplyDeleteHi, Victoria only closed this week - hoping to be open on Friday - but it's Cornwall so maybe Saturday he he ! Another grim day followed by the most amazing red sky. Hope the wind isn't too bad as I've got the carpet fitters at Oamaru on Thursday - if they turn up. I've had problems with a staked Amaryllis falling over at night and scaring the dogs - even though it was staked ! Sue
