Saturday

 Slightly brighter start
But lots of low cloud out to the West and a damp feel in the air
We then all set off to Falmouth as there was shopping to be done
New carpet for Oamaru Barn bought with 20% off in the Trago sale.  We noticed this gull scarer on the roof as we went up to the cafe for a coffee
View through the cafe window of a Coverack gig
Better view from Events Square of the jack up rig Seajacks Hydra with legs down
One of the St Mawes Ferrys heading into Falmouth
Another gig

Looking through the masts at the two Naval Auxiliary vessels Argus (right) and Mount's Bay (left_
Maritime Museum - always worth a visit

Plenty of room in this dry dock for Scillonian III - if they don't get Mali Rose out of dry dock in Penzance soon they might be needing it
 Looking up the Penryn River
As I was taking photos I could hear the most amazing call of a bird of prey - then zoomed in and realised it was an attempt at keeping the gulls off the roof of the Pendennis Shipyard
As you can see it wasn't really working - sorry taken through the railings
The super little St Mawes Castle
Trelissick House up the Carrick Roads with another St Mawes Ferry
LPG tanker Navigator Genesis at anchor in Falmouth Bay
Gyllingvase Beach - where we were heading for next
Weather still not too bad as we strolled on the beach
The sun shining onto St Anthony Light
We heard the wonderful musical sound of Swans flying by - sadly didn't manage a decent shot

I really loved these two Labradors
Brothers,  having a wonderful time

Wooster was fascinated by this piece of seaweed sticking out of the sand
But these waves are tricky !
This superb Newfoundland was having a wonderful time  - of course !
Magnificent dog
A little blue sky and sunshine
The sun shining onto Pendennis Castle that guards this side of The Carrick Roads. We then drove home in drizzle all the way - we had been lucky !

    1. Started off fine this morning, but sadly is now all mist and murk. I'm going to be spending a lot of time up at Oamaru in order to get the decorating finished in time for the carpet and then half term let. Jim will be on duty for walkies and photos - if he actually gets off the computer for a while Hmm ! Sue
