Wednesday

Sorry everyone - a very different day today as Hetty the Yeti needed to go to Helston for her service and MOT
Jim picked me up with the dogs in his car and we walked along the path from the Boating Lake towards Penrose.
Nice firm drive with added mud alongside which the dogs seemed to prefer
We came home for a couple of hours and actually saw some brightness - but not for long.
Testing, testing testing - the route of RNLI 13-11 St Ives Lifeboat testing her engine I gather !
The it was back in the car and repeat walkies as for some reason I'm aching all over and couldn't face a hilly walkies. Thought these were Mallards in the gloom, but think they are female Teal
The amazing moss growing on the trees in the very boggy land
and Ferns growing on the horizontal branches
 Catkins as well
Wooster looking a bit disappointed as we didn't want to walk next to the river as last time he fell in !
We then walked alongside the boating lake
Love to see the Tufted Ducks who overwinter on the boating lake

Mute Swan - so large when they're out of the water
 Not looking happy
 Ah ! that's why
The view from the cafe - sadly closed
 Really a pleasant spot
 Coot
The Tufted Ducks look like they're paired up already
Eventually collected Hetty complete with her MOT, but she has corroded discs so she'll go back next month
