Monday

Fairly early start for me to see Scillonian III leave Penzance on her first trip of the year - it had been raining, but stopped for a while - just in time
Her 40th Year of sailing to The Isles of Scilly
It was going to be a rather bumpy ride
A misty Mount

Lovely little group of Turnstones on Battery Rocks
Not sure what needs to be done at Jubilee Pool - thought it was all sorted
Meanwhile the rain stopped and Jim took the dogs out
Some blue sky appearing
Wooster enjoying the view
The last lot of rain heading SE
Leaving behind some lovely blue sky
A lot of activity out at sea today - here to the right & left you can see two of the six Nato  warships that have passed by heading up towards Scotland - in the centre are the Dutch tug Alp Central that was eventually tasked to tow cargo vessel Lady Alida which had lost all power off Gwennap Head overnight. Both Sennen & Penlee Lifeboat had attended and managed to tow her further out, but she was dragging her anchor so they had to go back to await a tug. Fortunately Alp Central had been in Mount's Bay for several days "awaiting orders"
The fields being prepared again
Hello ! haven't seen you for a while

Sand has moved a bit further up towards the ramp
Buzzard was being harried by a Crow

Off we went to meet Jim's sister at The Square in Porthleven for a lovely meal and a good chat

  3. Thank you Sue for the beautiful photo's of Scillonian leaving Penzance, was wondering if you would have taken a day trip. Only been on her once and that was because of thick fog stopping the helicopter flying over to Scilly. Great photo's as usual, glad to see that Tilly & Wooster have their coats on, very chilly and icy here this morning.

    1. Really pleased that SCIII didn't go today - really rather wild and worse this evening. No ice though - didn't realise it had been quite that cold. Sue
