A lovely if slightly hazy morning, so we went for a longer walkies
We walked a slightly different route to see if it would be easier for Tilly - met these two little ones as we walked through the Chiverton cattle fields
Saw my first Ladybird of 2017
We decided to carry on further and came across this very tall climb over a wall - Wooster managed to jump it on the second attempt Jim lifted Tilly up and since the first step is really high he gave me a pull up as well !
We walked down the lane and the along the footpath to Cudden Point
Wonderful views from up there
Bluebells were everywhere
Nice view of Perranuthnoe
Looking along the top of Cudden Point
Being a photographers dog is not all fun
Looking over The Greeb to The Mount from the top of Cudden Point
This is the new path the National Trust cut through the gorse after part of the old path fell into the sea - sadly it's really nasty and slippery and rather steep
Looking back at Cudden Point
Very relaxed Seal
Then another popped up
Footpath was looking lovely
Wooster at the next very testing wall - sadly he just can't seem to see the easy way
But he can jump it easily
Waiting for Tilly who needs to be lifted up this one
Wonderful Cornish Hedge
Lovely darker pink Thrift
Flowers everywhere
Bit of a problem here - the stream has re-directed itself - it should be behind me instead of in front of me
Still at least there was a way you could walk around the fence
Wooster exploring again
and again
Tilly's "are we nearly home yet?" look
Down the slope and back to Perran
and a well deserved cappuccino and tea cake for me and a Mint/choc chip ice cream for Jim
Afternoon walkies and we met Di & Lucy who was armed and dangerous today
The Mexican Fleabane is looking wonderful all around the village walls
Navigator Phoenix has come back from Falmouth
Another almost empty beach
I think Wooster has become a dedicated bunny Pointer
When we got home our own bunnies on the freshly mowed field were very happy
What a lovely album this morning, the path certainly looks nasty in parts.whoops !! that would be me !! lovely morning here after several cold grey days...with heating on !! The thrift is lovely, ours is just coming out,and one of the whistling jacks is in bud...they pop up everywhere...I could probably send some back to 'Scilly' ! thank you Sue.macca.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed out walk - but all except Wooster felt tired afterwards. The Spring colours are lovely this year. Rain expected tomorrow Sue
DeleteThank you so much for sharing your beautiful walk, I so enjoyed it, wouldn't make that distance with my knees and hips (ouch) Everywhere is looking so beautiful especially the hedgerows. Poor Tilly, I bet she was exhausted after that long walk and enjoyed a good snooze when she got home. Thanks once again to you both.
ReplyDeleteSadly all except Wooster are feeling our age at the moment, so the walk wasn't that long - but enough ! Not sure how we'll manage on Scilly this year - take things a little slower and stop to admire the view several times on the walk up to The Castle I expect. Sue
DeleteA beautiful day for you in Perranuthnoe. Oh how I miss it. You got a good view looking back at Stackhouse Cove. Please, please could you get a photo of the little fishing boats in Prussia Cove some time. I love the different styles around Perranuthnoe, but my favourite will always be Tilly's stepping stones. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I look at them every day.
ReplyDeleteThe fishing boats won't be in Prussia Cove until Summer - hopefully we'll find the energy to do the longer walk. Pleased you enjoy the photos. Some rain tomorrow - probably not much though. Sue
DeleteOr maybe it should be stiles!
