Isles of Scilly holiday - Saturday 17th June

Gry Maritha leaving early morning
As we set out on our walk the Ötillö  competitors were off on their much longer Swim/run
Spreading out a bit as they run past Porthloo
Lovely view over to Bryher & Hangman Island
Wooster and Tilly love this path
Guiding Star with a boat full heading for St Agnes
Hide and seek
Busy down Tresco Channel

Round The Garrison below the walls
and down onto the dog friendly end of Porthcressa  - Wooster did go in a little way this time
Swedish Research vessel doing survey work South of Scilly
Nice and cooling as it was "scorchio"
With such a lack of bunnies on St Mary's this was Wooster's favourite moment  - walking past the Duck Pond

Past the sad sight of the badly holed yacht that was the subject of the Lifeboat rescue when the bad accident occurred - all the crew of the yacht (chartered I gather) managed to scramble ashore at Watermill.  Yacht a "write off" I gather
We arrived back along The Strand just in time to see the winners arriving back
Not looking out of breath - did an interview straight after crossing the line !
Scillonian III leaving as we walked up the hill
Super sunset again on Saturday
Sadly my battery was about to run out
Turned it on again and got just one shot - Jim saw the wonderful green flash - but forgot to press the shutter

  1. What wonderful colours. The sea is such an amazing colour and so clear....and very cold...we used to swim every time...but gave up on our last two visits !! We are thankfully getting a little rain on our brown and shrivelled garden. You certainly struck lucky with the weather, doesn't look so good today on Scilly.Thank you so much...have viewed several times !!! macca

    1. We were really lucky, although a little less heat would have been nice he he ! Never perfect. We used to swim - St Martins, off The Bar on St Agnes and Pelistry - sadly no more. Still got Bryher and the last day to do. Sister out of hospital, but didn't sound like she wanted visitors - pity as it's her birthday tomorrow - sadly not as blo...dy minded and tough as me. Sue
