The Isles of Scilly - Sunday 18th June

Wonderful sight as we left the Star Castle making our way quickly down to the Quay as we had decided to go to Bryher. We boarded Guiding Star - one of the older boats, but with a handy set of steps
Sadly I gather they don't actually use the sails
We walked along the footpath around Sampson Hill to our favourite part of Bryher
Looking over to Samson
Bishop Rock Lighthouse
The stunning white sand of Rushey Bay
It's traditional now !
Couple of Seals in Stoney Porth
Droppy Nose Point - or as I always call it Elephant Rock

Looking down to Great Porth
Golden Eagle Studio the original studio of Artist Richard Pearce who is now to be found in his new studio and gallery alongside Bryher shop
Pimms O'clock
and a lovely smoked salmon sandwich at Hell Bay Hotel
Due to the extreme heat we decided to walk back the way we had come but on the beach to allow the dogs to try to cool down
Wooster tried

Sea Cloud II leaving Scilly
Still paddling
Wooster almost trod on this  jellyfish
After dinner walkies and Sea Quest
A rather unusual sunset
No idea !
Another shape
and another
Then pouff

    1. It was very different compared to the previous evening. Lovely to see as we don't get that many sunsets without cloud. Sue

  2. Waking up to STUNNING photo's of our favourite Bryher. Brought a lump to my throat. Thank you so much. Hopefully you both paddled as well to help keep you cool. Looks like we have got mixed weather this week, the gardens will be happy. Thank you both so much once again.

    1. Wanted to get them done as soon as I could or I give up as it's tricky to keep doing the daily ones as well. Pity we couldn't spend longer and walk further on Bryher, but the second boat back was from Anneka's Quay which was another hot walk away and Tilly was struggling so we made the most of what we could manage. Pity that the weather is back to more normal mixed stuff but sadly when it does rain we're not getting much at all. Sue

  4. Bryher is getting really tricky to get to - our boatman kept saying he would but didn't, so we decided to try an Association boat and we were lucky to get the same one in and out as the dogs managed well - and we were lucky that SCIII wasn't there so plenty of steps so no clambering over other boats (our nightmare) Just a few more Scilly ones then I go through Jims - just can't manage more than one card(camera) at a time. Sue
