Wednesday - a trip to St Agnes

We arrived at the quay just in time to see the St Mary's Lifeboat heading for her mooring
At anchor of St Agnes the landing craft Severn Sins that had brought the Springwatch Landrover with all their satelite gear over to the idlands for the live broadcast the other day
The Pool and lighthouse(disused) St Agnes

 Bishop Rock Lighthouse
Going to need help with these two birds
The amazing weather granite out on the wild parts of St Agnes
Walking in towards the bar between St Agnes and Gugh
 Always a super sight
Thought that this might be a Redpoll in Spring plumage
Closer view of the lighthouse - kept white as a day-mark
Severn Sins had been joined by a rather posh boat
Meridian full up and ready to leave - 100 passengers I gather
The lovely plants alongside the quay on St Agnes
 Scillonian III ready to leave
Up the hill again to The Star Castle
 After dinner walkies
Windier now and water was racing through the hol in the rock
Sapphire heading back with the St Agnes supper crowd
Layer of dark cloud spoiled it

    1. Weather was amazing and more photos to come - just too hot at the moment to sit at the pc - Poor Tilly struggled in the heat, so we didn't get as far as we'd like as we had to walk at half speed. Lots had changed on Scilly this year - sad really Tolman in Old Town has been replaced by a restaurant which isn't what is needed during the day - sandwiches/cakes etc not on offer ! Covean also gone on St Agnes - just Teas on Tuesday & Thursday, so Coastguards Cafe was heaving and expensive ! Fortunately Juliets Garden is still super - and very popular. Sue

    1. Tilly enjoyed the mornings and evenings, but got too hot, so we had to slow down and take it easy. We managed St Agnes and also a half day on Bryher - still got some photos to do and all of Jims - need it to cool down a bit as it's too hot in the lounge as the breeeze was from the East. Nice evening walk today so that it was cool for the dogs. Sue
