PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

 Grey start to the day

 Smart vessel
We went to Wyevale garden centre and onwards to Asda - love this view from the car park looking over the Hayle River and Towans to St Ives and The Island
The greenery of Treva Croft Woods and Trencrom Hill 
Wind surfer when we got home 
I popped up to Trebarvah to do some mowing and the clouds were looking very dark
Still not cold - although there was a breeze now 
Love these flowers that appear every year at the end of The Churchway  - can someone be kind and tell me what they are called

Clouds were looking really dark - still no rain 

High Tide 
Mali Rose the new goods vessel for the Isles of Scilly has eventually left the wet dock - she went round and round and....
Back into the Dry Dock - gather a prop came off in the wet dock so she has to have that put back on - Steamship Company said necessary adjustments - I'd have said vital adjustments !  The sea trials - pigs on the take off ramp !

      Many thanks - think they had several comical names and I just couldn't remember, Bears Breeches is another - Acanthus is the name I need to look for as I'd like some !

      Will be looking for Acanthus as we continue our quest for more plants. They've had some nice rain as they're all still in pots - lots of conversations about where they all go. Poor Gry had problems with her cargo door and had to use her own crane to hold it up the other day on Scilly - there's always someone with a phone or camera these days. Gather that Radio Scilly had announced that Mali Rose would be doing sea trials this week - might get her back out of Dry Dock as soon as the prop is back on - seems doomed to me ! Sue

    Morning Sue. Botanical name of the family is Acanthus. To identify the special plant is difficult because of 20 to 30 different kinds. Greetings Gerd

    Hi, a little warning, Acanthus is a spreader,(invasive) put one in my garden and it's going everywhere, although beautiful flowers/bracts, I wouldn't, had I have known planted it. Great to see the rain today, gardens so badly need it, back to brighter days again tomorrow. Good luck with your border, hope you have some Agapanthus to plant in there somewhere, they will love that spot in your garden with full sun.Great photo's again, MANY MANY THANKS.

    Yes 4 Agapanthus already lined up and hopefully if they put more out at the garden centre we'll get a couple more. The place where we want to put the Acanthus also has the Echiums so it will have to fight for space and might have met its match ! Sue
