Monday

After waiting for so many months today was the day that Mali Rose the new goods vessel set off for The Isles of Scilly for the first time - a proving/training trip this time
Jim took the dogs up the hill
Really was glorious and with a nice breeze
Super big beach expected today

Lovely boat
Off we went to Trevena Cross Nursery - again - think Jim has a bad case of plant buying addiction and I have to go as well to try to control him
Getting busy
Wonderful wide beach
Cars on the parking field - and a long way up the road
Spot the Goldfinch

I went up to Trebarvah to mow the lawns after the very wet Saturday

Distant shot of a pod of Dolphins
Thousands of Cauliflower (or as they're sometimes known Broccoli) going in to the local fields today
It had clouded over a bit as I walked back down to home - there were cars and even a huge motorhome parked a long way up Perranuthnoe lane and I decided I'd rather collect the car later then have to reverse back up the lane several times
Photo from Francis Hosken of Mali Rose up against the Quay on St Mary's - she came out and back in again for practice
That's the way the little plantlets go into the soil
Lifted up to turn for the next row
Huge amount of Ragwort around this year - used to be compulsory to remove it because it's poisonous to animals
Lovely lush village at the moment
Through the windscreen as I left Trebarvah

    1. Your trip on the Flying Scotsman sounds great - do love to see the Steam Trains, so much more character. Gry has almost been worked to death - oil leak in the engine and her crane has to hold up the cargo door as the hydraulics are broken - will all have to be put right before they hand her over to her new owners. Mali Rose did OK bit will need more proving trips I assume. Sue
