PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Thursday

 Not a good start to the day - grey skies and drizzle as well as us waking up to a cold house to find that the boiler wasn't working
Boiler man phoned and the weather seemed to be improving  so I took the dogs for their morning walk
Was taking a photo of the causeway when I noticed the sun catching the huge new railway shed down at Long Rock

Huge beach, but sadly I didn't have time to take the dogs down there as the boiler man was due 

Since the afternoon was nice and sunny I thought I'd pop up to Oamaru Barn and mow the lawn as the forecast for Saturday isn't good. Saw this as I arrived in the farmyard - just admiring the view after installing a fire alarm

Couldn't manage to mow it as short as I'd have liked as it was too wet and mossy 
The moss at the front was so full of water it was lovely and bouncy

Jim took the dogs this afternoon, whilst I had a swim.
We'd heard the drone of a generator for the last couple of days and Jim could see what it was as he walked past Churchtown House - these guys are usually looking for mining activity

    Great job with the lawns, Sue! Nice to see some sunny weather. Great distant view of the buildings at Trebarvah. Hope you never lose the view from up there. Is the land in front of the cottage designated farming only?

    I assume that the land couldn't be built on - not enough services up there and Perran struggles with the sewage system which used to all go downhill to the sea in times gone by, nowadays it all has to be pumped back up to the main road. There are going to be 2 new houses on the farmyard that will replace the barns. Recently 2 planning applications have been turned down both due to size and design - the architects seem to keep designing totally inappropriate houses. Sue
