Friday

Really pleased that most of the Hottentot Figs have survived the frost down here on the footpath
A lot of low cloud and mist floating around this morning
It was mainly out to the West hanging over the moors
Very dramatic

Lugger Happy Return crossing the bay sadly with no wind so no sails
The dark cloud and mist rolled away
But still lurked out to the West
and to the South

It moved around for most of the day

Having trimmed all the squishy rotten parts this is what is left of the huge Agapanthus clump - there's hope yet !
Scillonian III setting off on her second trip of her busy day
I then drove to Truro and saw this Coastguard helicopter flying in to land and it was still on the landing pad as I arrived at The Duchy Hospital - quiet it's not ! Going back for an injection in my knee next week
Mermaid II came past
Rig called Wind out in the shipping lanes heading for Birkenhead with Uttum leaving her anchorage in the bay heading for Teignmouth
Afternoon walkies

Two hard working ships Gry Maritha heading out and Scillonian III returning to Penzance on her second trip of the day

  1. Your Agapanthus looks like mine did 10 days ago, but now you wouldn't know it had gone through a very hard winter, fingers crossed now the blooms won't be affected. Hopefully it will be the same for yours. Good luck next week when you have the injection, I do so hope it works for you so that you can enjoy your holidays. How lovely to have the sun back again, and so hot, here's hoping it will be around for several days. Take Care Sue, rest up that knee.

    1. Pleased that at least the Agapanthus is showing some signs of life. Varfell Farm close by have fields of them looking similar I gather. Knee has had a hard day, but will rest it tomorrow. Do hope the injection works and the sun hangs around for a while. Sue
