Sunday

Rain first thing, but it had stopped when Jim took Wooster up the hill
Still plenty of cloud around

Already a few surfers had arrived to make the most of the waves
Suddenly it was looking very promising
It was clear that it was going to be a Surfers day here in the village - which tends to create hellish difficulties getting in and out of the village
Noticed this monster Dutch Trawler Zeeland - 113 metres long - destination listed as "Searching for fish"
Getting busy down there

Not many sailing vessels around now
We decided to make our escape to Penrose
Caught these two Common Darters in an intimate moment

The storm has brought a huge number of these Sweet Chestnuts down - our Pointer Willoughby used to love to carry one around in his mouth
Lovely and green and it was getting really warm - tee-shirt weather again

The Loe down towards Carminowe Creek
Waves were not as big on the bar as we thought they might be

Sand in the water after the storm makes for some beautiful colours
We met this super Bracco Italiano
Lots of heavy cloud still lingering further East
The new footpath has revealed the wonderful balcony on the Lodge house

Photos taken as we walk up the new path

Chimneys and Engine Houses of the old Trewavas Mine
Porthleven looking so very different today
Porthleven, Trewavas Head and Cudden Point
Prussia Cove with a little bit of The Castle
Turning inland towards Helston
The windblown tree has survived another storm

Home again to see this large group of happy dogs
The waves and surfers were still there

Must have still been more then 50 of them still there after 5pm

6.15pm Barbecue at sunset - who'd have ever thought that we'd have had a wonderful day like this after two days of storms
