Friday
After a really wild evening and night when all these bits blew off the Cedar Tree - hit the windows and then got swept into neat piles by the wind - caused by the gaps in the glass screens
There had been a warning that this trip on board Scillonian III would be a little wild and bumpy
Scillonian III passing Joy of Ladram
Maisie will really miss the Swallows when they have all gone South
Grab Hopper Dredger Mannin waiting to go into Newlyn
The great British holidaymaker isn't put off by some wind and showers
Wing Foiling again
Penlee Lifeboat Ivan Ellen setting off to evacuate a French fisherman that had been injured in the storm - he was then driven to hospital
Afternoon walkies
A lot more cloud this afternoon
The wind got up to Force 11 Storm Force and there were 22 "shouts" for the lifeboat over on Scilly so the Sennen lifeboat went over to assist - taking 3 hours to get there in the terrible conditions they were joined by the Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter. Pleased to report all were OK - which is more than could be said about some of the tents both on Scilly and in Cornwall.

Thursday
Morning walkies with rain approaching from the NW
Think this is Knapweed
Lots of dark clouds around
Fun run around the field
The beginnings of Storm Evert were arriving so Jim managed to give the dogs a quick run in the field during a very brief lull in the rain.
Swallows around again
Feeling really sad for those under canvas tonight as we have an orange weather warning for wind and rain - wind possibly gusting up to 70mph. Plenty of warnings to peg down those tents and check moorings etc.

Wednesday
Wednesday is Britannia day
Bright and breezy
Off she goes - on a livelier trip than she's done recently as it was quite windy
Maisie on Swallow watch
There it is !
Some rather dark shower clouds around
White caps around Britannia today
Still looking !
and waiting
A slightly different trip this time - now heading back to Southampton
Sylva Celt heading back towards Penzance/Newlyn
Coastguard helicopter came low overhead whilst I was swimming - got the downdraught which made the roof shake and the noise was shocking
Afternoon walkies
Still windy so some waves down there today
Super Common Buzzard
Plenty of dark shower clouds around
Very lively pair of dogs - think they appreciated the fact that it was cooler today
