When I first arrived at the Marsh, I couldn't see the Heron on the nest at all - even with the binocs. Then just as I was leaving she stood up to delicately bend down & presumable turn the eggs & then do a bit of "housekeeping" trying the twig this way & that before discarding it.
No sign of her "partner" at all.
