Apologies for the lack of photos recently. It's been a bit hectic - the house electrics are all signed off and the building work should be inspected next week and hopefully the plumbing & heating soon. We've had continual heavy showers which has meant either short dog walks or off to the woods for most of last week.
I've been working like mad, printing the Perranuthnoe Calendars and also clearing the downstairs hall, (which had been used as storage all manner of things) so that George can come and fit the carpet on the stairs and the hall.
I'm sitting here at 01.30 because the weather is so bad I couldn't possibly get any sleep. I've just watched the local weather forecast on the BBC i player to see if I missed a major weather warning, but no ! ! she actually said that the wind might reach gale force - reach it - we've had many gusts in the 70's and now several of 80mph the tiles are rattling, and the rain is smashing onto the window. It looks like it might turn from the SW we have -right at us - to a more Northerly direction which is much more protected by hedges etc. In the meantime the dogs are refusing to go out and I will stay in the lounge tonight as Charlie get's very scared of all the noise.
Just looked at the AIS and noticed that the Newlyn fishing boat the Emma Louise has rounded Lands End but still seems to be fishing - or possibly hoping to ride out the storm.
