Thought today was going to be much better with lots of lovely sunshine. Got up to find it pouring with rain ! ! As this huge bank of cloud cleared I hoped we might then see the sun, but sadly it was yet again a day of heavy showers and occasional short sightings of the big orange ball. The Churchway footpath which runs alongside the tall garden wall, had become a stream with water running down from the hill above. A small trench has been dug to divert the water down the side of the field since lots more rain is forecast for this week.
PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. We were luckier Sue, once it stopped raining the sun came out and stayed that way here (down the lanes nr Chiverton Cross roundabout) and I was able to get out and clear the path, loads of leaves blown in and mud washed in by the ever falling rain recently. Some has been walked inside by my mums carers and the squirrels running in for their hazelnuts - must teach them to wipe their feet! Cynthia
ReplyDeleteAh well Cynthia, I'm sure there have been many times that we have had sunshine when you've been in the rain ! It's very inconsiderate of the Squirrels not to wipe their feet I have the same trouble with the dogs (and with Jim for that matter !) We don't seem to have any Squirrels on this side of Perranuthnoe, a pity as we had them living in our huge Oak tree when we lived in Leics. and saw them all the time in Tresillian. Sue
