The Porthleven Food and Music Festival

We decided to take a look at what was going on at Porthleven today. Unfortunately we woke up to find that the forecast dull weather had as usual arrived a little early, but the wind had only veered round to SSE so it was still bitterly cold. The plan was to take my car, so after having wandered around with the dogs, I could bring them home and Jim could stay if there was enough to interest him in the food tent demonstrations etc. As we drove up the lane I knew my car was making a strange noise and we stopped and discovered a flat tyre - my first ever ! I had the inflater in the car, so we put enough air in to turn around and go home. We probably should have seen this as a sign and not bothered, but we didn't and off we went in the Freelander.
When we reached Porthleven it was even colder there than at home and the sight of this open fire with Bratwurst cooking cooking above looked like the best place to be working on the harbour. Jim bought himself a Game Pie and he's had half of it for dinner which he thoroughly enjoyed with some local new potatoes from the Farm Shop just up the road.
