I noticed earlier in the day that Saga Ruby was in an unusual spot off Bude, so I kept an eye on her on the AIS. She had sailed in from Ireland and went round Lundy then proceeded to cruise the Corshish coast, past Padstow, Newquay, St Ives and round Lands End and into Mount's Bay. Unfortunately the AIS lost her signal near St Just and only picked it up in Mount's Bay, so it shows her cruising down the A30 to Penzance ! !
My wife and I saw her off the coast yesterday at Trewethet Farm Caravan Club Site on a perfect morning against a azure blue sky and blue green sea. She looked majestic - yes we cruise as well as caravan!!
ReplyDeleteHad to check where you are - Near the lovely Tintagel - it must have been quite a sight as you wouldn't expect to see a cruise ship around there - I was at least waiting for her to arrive ! Sue
ReplyDeleteI was walking the Coast Path on Monday 24th May between Zennor and St Ives. The Saga Ruby approached from the north east and sailed right up to St Ives. After a short stop, perhaps 30 minutes, very close to St Ives Head, with several load blasts of the ship's horn, she sailed on in the direction of Lands End. A beautiful ship. Did some entertainers embark at St Ives, I wonder?
