Don't see as much of the Air Sea Rescue Helicopters from RNAS Culdrose these days - unless they're on a shout of course - fuel rationing I presume - they used to fly along the coast at least twice a day. This one was quite low and slow as it came past.

  1. Hi your Mousehole follower here .... Nice pic of 771 sqn. Sea King , they are flying regularly. Mostly on shouts , my scanner monitoring marine frquencies has been red hot with rescues these past few days . These guys do a fantastic job. All the best.

  2. Hello there across The Bay, Yes we get them zooming very low over the house sometimes when they are on a shout. But we used to see more of them just taking a turn round the bay & back to Culdrose. I gathered from the Cornishman & Packet that they are having a busy season as are the Lifeboats. Sue

  3. Most of Culdrose personnel are on leave until August 31st. After that date the skies will be busy again with a new intake of student pilots etc.
