Thursday - back at Pendennis Point. Falmouth

We decided to go and take a look at the larger boats racing each day for the Pendennis Cup. We took rather longer than expected to get there and they were already out in the bay and racing as we leapt out of the car ! Still it was wonderful to see these beautiful boats as well as the masses of other races, both in the Carrick Roads and out in Falmouth Bay. After they had gone out of sight we iontended to go for some lunch at Mylor Yacht Harbour, but got caught up in a horrendous traffic jam owing to the council deciding to tar & grit the little lane that goes in that direction, so we bought some sandwhiches and headed back to Pendennis Point to await the "big boys" return. The stunning Adela the largest of the racers and already out in the lead

She really is the most beautiful white, but the light was so bad that everything looked rather grey. It did brighten up every now & then, but the wind was cold & the clouds were big !
