As I got back to the car with my shopping, I noticed that they were about to close the road in order to open the Swing Bridge, so off I went with my camera. Sorry I didn't notice that the lenshood had twisted a little so it keeps putting in an appearance ! As the swing bridge turned around I noticed this brave little Pigeon that had been roosting with friends under the road - the others flew off, but this one went all the way round until it stopped.
With a bit of assistance the Sand Snipe comes out of the Dry Dock
With no bow thruster of her own it was up to the others to pull & push her around

Out she goes to freedom !
The swing bridge returning the roadway to it's normal position
