As the sun was setting behind the nice little Grasshopper, I couldn't resist taking this shot, before Nick took pity on it and gently transported it down into the garden

  1. What a beautiful sunset photo. My DH had a close encounter with one of these Green Grasshoppers on the 300 bus when we were on holiday in St Ives last year. It moved very slowly too. We thought maybe it was an escapee as we had never seen a grasshopper this size before.

I only found your blog recently but I am very much enjoying all your photos.

  2. Hi Julie, so pleased you found the blog and are enjoying it - when we can get out more hopefully the photos will be more varied. But at the moment Charlie Pointer cannot walk too far, so it's all Perranuthnoe.
The Grasshopper was by far not the largest we've seen - we had a Great Green one land with a clatter onto the balcony, we took some photos then took it down to the field. Sue
