The roofers down at Beach House, we thought they were very slow, and now realise that they are "wet laying" the slates which means  'Wet Laid slate, laid to diminishing courses on a lime based mortar bed." Obviously in it's extremely exposed position it was considered the best, but must be very expensive to do.
