Just in case you were wondering what happened to the Athena the fish Factory ship that caught fire 230miles SW of IOS on 27th October. After her crew were picked up out of life rafts she was towed towards Falmouth where more experienced firefighters were put on board - they all had to abandon ship after fumes became too hazardous. She has since been towed around and around an area well away from all the vessels in Falmouth Bay whilst the salvage team tried to prevent pollution and get the still smouldering fire under control and extinguish it.
They must have done something right as today 14 days after the fire started it has eventually been towed into the Carrick Roads for more assessments to be done
