A Day of Two Halves

We awoke to warnings of yet more rain today and it arrived quite early, although I do not recall them warning us of the severity of the downpour. I drove down towards Hayle and drove back in a torrential  rainstorm which had water pouring of the fields and down the roads, making me yet again be thankful I was driving my Honda HRV with it's high ride and wonderful roadholding.
Sometime after lunch the clouds suddenly parted and the sun came out - as did the half term visitors, all heading for the swiftly receding beach.
We enjoyed a very pleasant walk along the beach, only marred by an older couple with a large black Labrador type dog who did not "pick-up" after it and refused an offer of a bag made by Jim. Really makes me angry as all dog owners are then tarred by the same brush !  Needless to say Jim picked up the poo - Bless ! !
Sadly more rain to follow tomorrow !

  1. What a kind thing for Jim to do! I realise that if we don't pick up after our dogs (all be it the mad Lucy, on loan when we're down) then they get banned from the beach again during high season. I hope you never have to encounter these thoughtless people again! I hope Wooster and Tilly are enjoying the warmer weather and that the forecast rain does not appear! Susan :@)
