  1. Hi Sue,

Our Swallows are still at work in Edinburgh. It's steadily getting colder with it dipping to 8C this morning. They show no sign of leaving!

  2. Maybe these have come from even further - Norway & Sweden perhaps - we've had a couple of huge flocks of mixed Swallows & Martins recently, swooping over the fields - but always gone by the next day. Sad ! Just noticed that it was starting to get dark by 9pm - I expect you get more daylight up there ! Sue

  3. Hi Sue,

We had some come over us yesterday morning whilst eating breakfast. Our Robin, has started to visit the garden again, a sure sign that winter is coming. It's slowly getting darker earlier at night. We've had the light on before nine some nights over the past week. It's certainly getting darker in the morning and getting up at half past five is getting more difficult. Not long now until I see no daylight during the week. Still we make up for it in the summer, when it's still light(ish) at one in the morning!
