Busy day on the other side of Mount's Bay

On a bright and breezy morning a visit from P281 HMS Tyne a River Class Offshore Patrol Boat. Which is now attached to the Fisheries Patrol Unit. They evidently sent a boarding party over to a Newlyn Beamer which was only 10 minutes away from berthing.
In Mousehole the strong NW-W breeze did not deter an adult leaving the Harbour in a Mirror Dinghy with 2 children on board, they capsized a couple of times and were struggling in the gusty wind. Tripper boat Mermaid came along and Mr Thomas fished out all three & towed the dinghy back to the harbour.
Not more than half an hour later the Cornish Maritime Trusts Ellen went aground on St Clements Isle. Again struggling with the swell and windy conditions. They had managed to extricate themselves just before both Penlee Lifeboats arrived and the Penzance Coastguard Rescue Team arrived. Gather Ellen lost her keel irons but all were safe. Phew !   Many thanks to Mike in Mousehole for all this news.
