A 3,000-tonne ship has managed to avoid grounding on rocks near Falmouth after its anchor started to drag. The Cyprus-registered Baltic Sea was heading for rocks at Pennance Point at about 10:30 GMT.
Coastguards said the "visibility was appalling" and a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose on a naval exercise was called to help. But the ship, with eight crew on board, managed to retrieve its anchor and move away from coast. If the crew had not managed to retrieve the anchor, of course there was no ETV Anglian Princess to give a tow to a big vessel like this - she's up in Scotland now !
