Huf Haus day 1

I had somehow doubted that I would be up out of bed before the Huf Haus guys arrived - and sure enough I opened the curtains to this sight - the crane removing their container onto a lorry, which took it for a tour around the village and brought it back to park behind the big trailer with the first house panels on it in Greeb Way.
The weather forecast was for wind and rain and that's what we got - wind gusting up to 39mph, so I'm afraid all you've got today, have, (with the exception of Jim's photos) been taken mainly through the kitchen window - yes I know the cable is annoying, but I can't avoid it.

  1. Morning Sue,
thank you very much for the interesting report about the building of the Huf House. I think they are a very experienced team. Have you realized that they even have the crane brought over from Germany, what a complexity. It seems as if it's better to have guys who have done it before.
Looking foreward to seeing the progression, thank's once again.
    Yours Gerd

  2. Morning Gerd, Yes I had noticed that the lorries and crane were all the same German Company and meant to point it out.

After a wild and very windy night, with gusts of 51mph the crane is up but doesn't seem to be lifting anything - possibly it's beyond his limit, something the superb planning could never guarantee is that our Cornish weather would co-operate ! Too murky even to take any photos through the open window at the moment. Sue
