This post could almost be called The Storm that never came !
After a night of windy very wet weather with lots of hail storms and thunder as well, I was not looking forward to my trip to The Duchy Hospital since the forecast was for heavy rain and gale force winds for the journet home. In the event the storm has passed to the South with the worst of the weather seeming to have gone to France (Wonder if Mr Cameron had anything to do with it !)
Unfortunately the forecast for tomorrows Christmas Tree Event in Perranuthnoe is now for 30-40mph NW winds with possible showers - but it could have been worse !
The good new was that the Isles of Scilly goods vessel Gry Maritha set off this morning with the waveheight at Sevenstones showing 20ft and made it over there in quite reasonable time - she's on her way back now doing 9.9knots which is very good speed for her.
The other good news is that my knee was pronounced fine and I handed back my crutches and can now proceed to gradually start to build up the muscles in my leg and hopefully start to do a bit of dog walking (might wait until the weather improves a bit !)
Great news about your knee, hope it continues to improve and you can get out walking those beautiful coastal pathways in your area.
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue,
ReplyDeletegood news about the knee, so we can be sure that you will walk up to Trebarvah when we are back in September (long time to wait).
