After Jim had walked the dogs we set off for Falmouth as it was a 15% off day at Trago and we wanted a woodburning stove - it was absoloutely heaving with eager shoppers, but we chose one and paid for it, but when we went to collect it we were told they needed the Fork-lift truck, so we went to the superb Gyllingvase Beach Cafe which again was packed - is there really a recession ? We then went back and the stove was loaded into the back of the Freelander by the fork lift truck. We just about managed to get it unloaded at this end by sliding all 120kgs of it down one of the really heavy ladders left behind in the garage by the previous owners of our house. Phew !

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Yes it's certainly looking like it's going to be cold this week - sadly there's work to be done on the chimney before the wood burner goes in - hope this builder doesn't do it "dreckly" Hope you manage to get down & enjoy the amazing catering in Perranuthnoe. Sue
