Oh dear ! January can be a depressing month after all the joys of Christmas & New Year and just to make it worse the weather down here has been yet again grey and damp - but at least there was no wind !
I noticed yesterday that the Lady Norma (that had sat in Penzance Harbour for 10 years or more) had after 2 months finally left Falmouth. Having nothing better to do this morning I decided to see if I could find her as I knew her next destination was Gibralter. I found her this afternoon, she's made it across the Bay of Biscay and is a few miles off La Corunna in Northern Spain where she's slowed right down and it looks like she's either being escorted or towed to La Corunna by a tug that came out to her - looks like this trip around the world will be done in a series of short hops !
Hi Sue I noticed her moored along side at Falmouth on Thursday afternoon so she has left the waters of cornwall at last.
ReplyDeleteHi Keith, been watching for her to leave and then missed it - but she's now alongside in Corunna - don't know if it was the conditions or if she still has steering problems, but her course was zigging & zagging quite badly. Gibralter should be her next stop ! Sue
