It was a beautiful sunny morning and we decided to walk East towards Cudden Point for a change, so to save me having to walk up the steep hill to Trebarvah, we took the car down to the Car Park then walked out, stopping to admire these sweet little Narcissus in the hedge by the footpath

  1. Hi Sue,
the picture of the little narcissus reminds me that I saw the first cut "Cornish Daffodils" in a flower shop in Bochum this wednesday. That is, if I remember right, minimum three weeks earlier than all the previous years. No real winter so far this year, but the weatherforecast says it's getting colder next week with frost even here in the lowlands, only 100m above sealevel.
    We count the days,
    see you in September.

  2. Hi Gerd, pleased to hear that Cornish Daffodils have got all the way to Bochum. The little Narcissus flowers are in quite a sheltered position at the same level as the cliffs and of course until today, we hadn't had any really cold weather - the wind really was very cold.
    bye for now
