PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

We've had a large flock of Curlews around for a few days as they seem to like the Cauliflower fields after they've been cut. Jim took his Canon with the longer lens today and managed some nice shots of them (don't know why I put Whimbrels - I've been calling them Curlews for days !)

  1. I think you will find they are Curlews. Whimbrels have shorter kinked bills and a strong crown and eyestripe and pass through much later in April May, although a few do overwinter.

    1. Hi, thanks for that - must have been having a senior moment ! as I had been saying they were Curlews all week ! I could hear them again this morning as I walked the dogs, but not see them. Sue
