PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.
I understand that there is an underground tramway from Marazion to the mount. Have you any idea where the tunnel entrance is in Marazion? Also I have a very old photo of what I think is the post office in Perranuthnoe. Could you post a photo of the building in 2012. It's not the old shop down by the beach. I think it's opposite the Victoria. Many thanks. Love your pics as I spent every summer in Perran as a child & have many happy memories.
ReplyDeleteI would assume that the underground tramway entrance might be in the grounds of the At Aubyns Estate Office which is on the other side of the road from The Causeway. I know that all the Scaffolding that was needed in the last few years went that way. If you go to http://maps.google.co.uk/ and type in Perranuthnoe you can zoom right in until Google Streetview appears - almost opposite the Victoria there are a pair of houses which might have been the Post Office at some time.
