I was woken at around 6.20am by one of the filming helicopters passing low over the house, so got up a little earlier than planned.
I took these two shots of the TV as Lieutenant Commander Richard Full carried the Olympic Flame from the Sea King helicopter to Ben Ainslie who was to run the first part of the relay.
Although the forecast was for cloud, the sun decided not to let us down and West Cornwall was looking it's best as the eyes of the world were upon us
Great set of photos Sue and Jim - we only saw it at 30 miles and hour, so I shared a link to your blog - hope that is OK!?
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, Thought we'd make the effort - we have a lot more time than you with your guests and horses. So thankful that the weather was good - made Cornwall look wonderful ! Sue
DeleteI got up early too and watched the torch from just before Newlyn to Rosudgeon. Was looking out for your dogs but didn't see them. Love the pics as usual. I've got to wait until July 20th before it comes near me!
ReplyDeleteHi GG
ReplyDeleteJim had the dogs with him at the top of Marazion, but he was up on a bank to get his photos ! Make the most of it when it reaches you - it passes oh so quickly ! Sue
